MTV VMAS 2013 CELEBRITY STYLE

So we have all probably seen the images from the MTV VMAS this year, but as we are loving a lot of what the celebs chose to wear this year we decided to compile a blog post of the 'the best dressed' and of course a few of the 'worst dressed' are in there too.

Selena Gomez never fails to come top place in the style stakes when it comes to fabulous red carpet looks and the same goes for this. Definitely daring with that thigh high split but the blue colour just tones the look down.

We're still not 100% sure what we think of this look from Rita Ora. We know we can always reply on Rita to deliver something a little out there and different but the feathery train? A step too far?

Oh Miley, Miley what happened here. Looks like some throw back to the 90s or is it the 80s? And that hair! What was she thinking!

Elegant? Check! Demure? Check! With a modern twist? Check! Ellie Goulding is on point with this studded cream long gown.

Actress Alison Williams looked stunning in her all white Valentino mini dress. Sticking to the rule 'show either cleavage or legs not both' she proves why this is a worthy rule.

Oh no just what was she thinking! This should not be a red carpet look, more gothic beach wear meets the mummy.

Another not so good outfit. This time super hero come Disney princess. Ooops!

Loving this look from Shailene Woodley. A simple crop top with an embellished skirt in beautiful tones of blue. Not too causal and not too over dressy. Just up our street.

THE SEASONS AHEAD

With summer nearly at it's end, the shops are slowly bringing out the styles we will be seeing everywhere next season.

A trend which is already making it's way into shops is the black, white & red plaid print trend. Plaid in every form from trousers to shirts to bags.

What we here are calling 'boy shoes' with styles such as brogues and the shoes that look like something you would wear to school.

We are generally feeling a very grungy, punky, androgynous feel for the seasons ahead.

Black and red plaid trousers may look scary but paired with a black t-shirt and all black accessories these will look amazing for fall.

A very masculine looking shoe but we are thinking that these paired with a girly dress or a short skirt would strike the right balance between feminine with a masculine edge.

With those shoes we would pair this galaxy print t-shirt dress from urban outfitters. So the look doesn't look to 'manly' go for a dress with lots of colour or a dress with a pretty flowery print would look great too!

This faux leather wrap skirt by BB Dakota would also look amazing with a pair of masculine shoes and a printed band tee for a relaxed evening look for drinks with the girls.

If you prefer something more subtle but still on trend, then this shirt also from Mango is great for you.

Can you tell how obsessed we are with Mango at the moment? They really are on point for a/w 13, ticking boxes for all the trends. Check them out if you want a one stop shop to buy every trend for next season.

This wrap bracelet can be paired with other size bracelets for a layered or stacked effect.

We are really going to enjoy experimenting with styles and masculine touches this season!

IN FLIGHT ESSENTIALS

Heading off to a sunny destination means packing which is not always so easy. So that's why we are helping you to choose which products you should take with you during the flight to that sunny destination.

Damascan Rose Facial Treatment

If you are on a long haul flight this means your skin can suffer the most as the air con and dry air can really dry out your skin and make it appear dull. It's always good to try and use a face mask or oil which you can discreetly apply mid flight to hydrate the skin.
Perfect Facial Hydrating Cream

Whether you are on a long haul or short haul flight you will need a good hydrating moisturiser which you can re-apply throughout. Even if you don't use a face mask, always make sure to moisturise instead!

A multi-use product we love, this can be used as a lip balm, cuticle cream, or even applied to cuts and grazes. Must have!

Apply a water face mist after waking from a nap, or if you just need a quick refresh. Plus, this one from Avene has great skin benefits and comes in a handy travel size.

A hydrating hand cream that smells gorgeous. Apply this after painting your nails in flight.
